Do You Know Who You’re Dealing With or DO YOU KNOW Who I AM?

As you might suspect, I get a lot of calls every day from people that want me to join their business. I admit it; I’m always willing to listen.  After all, you never know what opportunities will come along. I’ve pretty much put myself out there as a career multi-level marketer.

I’ve also put a lot of personal information about myself, not the least of which is that I’m blind. I think I’ve also made it quite clear that I will not endorse a product I can’t and won’t use. For example, much to the dismay of many companies, I’m deathly allergic to raspberries. So I’m not going to take any product that contains raspberries. It’s not that I don’t the product is good—it might be great, but if I can’t take it or use it, I can’t endorse or sell it. I just won’t do it. Also there is a good company that handles coins. Well, as being 100% blind, what good are coins I can not SEE, or know if I am using a common penny or the rare one cent VDBS work thousands as I put it in the gumball machine. (yes I just dated myself).

It continues to amaze me that, in spite of being quite clear about being blind and my philosophy about representing products that people continue to contact me about joining a business that has products that I obviously can’t use. Here’s a hint – if you need to be able to see to appreciate the product or use it, that particular product is not going to work for me. So don’t ask.

The business opportunity may be phenomenal, but I’m just not going to be able to promote it. How can I ask someone to join me in a business with products that I can’t even form a reasonable opinion about? Here’s another hint—the porn company opportunity that you may have seen mentioned in one of my articles—that opportunity is lost on me as well.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m very good at what I do and I don’t need my sight to tell if a product is good or not. I am perfectly capable of reading the research that went into the nutriceutical products. I can read the ingredients in the products and I can smell and taste better than most. I can read any material you give me, and having a Masters in Bio-Chemistry I do read and understand the information.

I love multi-level marketing partly for the great variety of companies that are out there. I also like hearing about different opportunities. But use a little common sense and don’t contact me if you need to see it to believe it—I won’t get it!

P.S. If you refer me to your website and isn’t ADA (American with Disabilities) compatible, 90% of the companies are not nor even after talking with many do they want to spend the money to include the 54 million Americans that are visually impaired, thus I’m not going to be able to get the information and I’m probably not going to be too happy either!
