Your blog looks bad. Seriously.

I have seen a lot of terrible looking blogs. What message is this sending to potential leads and customers? If your blog doesn't look professional then you don't look professional. Clean design and properly implemented plugins are essential. Your content is great, maybe, but you should also be leaving leads with the visual as well. Not to mention giving yourself a shot in the search engines!

Why is your blog so bad? Loaded navigation bars and/or poor navigation. No personalization outside of your header. Opt in requests with nothing to offer. Loads of ads down the sidebar. No homepage. Never ending pages with every post you've ever written. Way too many plugins. No plugins. The wrong plugins. I'm off on a tangent and the list goes on now but it seems that people think as long as they have a blog they are set. Wrong.

Your blog is a representation of you. Are you clean and professional or unorganized and sloppy? Do you get the job done right or just do it okay. Think about it and think about getting help properly installing your blog if you don't have the time or know how to do it yourself.
