Our focus being able to focus is probably the most misunderstood essential of success. The reason is, I believe the paradoxical nature of definitions assiciated with the same word ?our focus?. Our focus can be defined as the point from which all your energy emanates outward and whose field of effect wildens as it gets further from you. This is called real focus. Deciding which focus is necssary for success is not too difficult because they are aptly named. Would your prefer real success or virtual success?
Besides the paradoxical definition, another factor that interferes with successful our focus is our programming.
All of these wise saying we grew up with take their toll when it comes to our focus.
These are sayings like ?Don?t put all your eggs in one basket,? or Don?t burn your bridges behind you.? or ?Always leave the door open.? and other such success killers. In fact, in order to truly be successful you must do exactly the opposite of what people using these ?wise saying profess that you should do. If you don?t burn your bridges and close all the doors you will leave youeself with an alternaive to your objective.
The problem with that is the alternative is already comfortable and familar. When the difficulties begin to pile up, the old open door and the procrossed bridge will become to exciting. They will represent safety and vituall success, and they will be easy. Real success is not easy,, nor is it safe! These are safety nets we construct for ourselves so that we can play the game?Not to lose.?
