FROGS

Once upon a time there was a bunch of tiny frogs.... who arranged a running competition.
The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower.
A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants....

The race began....

Honestly:

No one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.
You heard statements such as:
"Oh, WAY too difficult!!"

"They will NEVER make it to the top."

or:

"Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!"
The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one....
Except for those, who in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher....

The crowd continued to yell,? "It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!"
More tiny frogs got tired and gave up....
But ONE continued higher and higher and higher....
This one wouldn't give up!

At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top!

THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?

A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal?
It turned out....that the winner was DEAF!!!!

The wisdom of this story is:
Never listen to other people's tendencies to be negative or pessimistic....
Always think of the power words have.
Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions!
Therefore ALWAYS be....POSITIVE!
And above all:
Be DEAF when people tell YOU that you cannot fulfill your dreams!
Always think:
I can do this!

I appreciate you,

This really hits home!

After owning a offline business for 20 years this post really brought some memories,I can remember years ago when everyone thought I was crazy.I mean I can still hear it to this day, start a business what the hell do you want to do that for.

Everybody laughed at me family members, friends you name it I got it from all angles. But I stuck with it and believe me there were times when I thought I was crazy.A funny thing happens when you stick with your dreams persistence and determination are a part of it as well, but just like that frog you can't listen to the negative noise.Don't Quit and watch your dreams and aspirations become a reality.

The Frog Story

Daniela,

Thanks for the story.  I remember reading a similar story when my kids were younger.  You may have heard the story about a "Little Engine that Could."  I think we all need to remember WHY we are in this business.  Money is just a small part of it.  Freedom from working for someone else who controls what we earn and determines our self-worth.  More time to spend with our families and watch our children grow up.  For me, to do some travelling to visit my parents who live in another state as well as my children who will soon be moving out.  One of them already has, and my second son will be moving out within the coming year.  So many people argue that money can't by happiness.  I say YES IT CAN!  It all depends on what you use it for.  With the economy the way it is today, financial freedom is becoming a real necessity.  So I say AMEN to your message.  All of us need to turn a "deaf ear" to all of the naysayers out there and PROVE them Wrong by showing them what can be done!  And then showing them how they can do the same.

It's good to have selective hearing!!

Loved your story Daniella. Never knew it could be good to be deaf. Goes to show even those who have disabilities or are thought can't do it can! Kep up the positive inspiration. Your Friend, Dorie

Great Lessons!

Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:
"The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person who is doing it."
I'll be posting soon. You inspired me to start!  :)  Thanks!  Loretta
