Imagine my surprise when an article I posted and went live on August 1, 2008 just got its 4,325 th page view. Wow, over Four Thousand Three Hundred Views. How did I do that?

Well, I wrote my article which was accepted by EzineArticles.com! As a physician, health copywriting comes easier to me than to most people. Here are a few tips:

• Make your articles no more than 700 words. Long articles discourage many readers. They want quick, accurate and quality points. Readers want value for their time. Don't disappoint!
• Your paragraphs should be 3 - 4 sentences if possible. Separate paragraphs an extra space. This makes the article look more inviting.
• Your Title should suggest you are bucking the current views on a topic or giving a new twist to an old topic. My topic is Throw Away Your Vitamin B12 Pills Now! Click to Read! It should be eye catching.
• Write with the heart of a teacher. Break it down. Define any scientific terms you must use. Write on an 8th grade reading level in other words.
• Make sure your artice flows and is organized! Answer the What is?, How? and Benefits. Your article should read as if you are having a conversation with someone.
• Avoid self-promotion and hard selling. Give quality information and applicable and useful links.
• Do not pass on someone else's work for yours. Give credit if you use a quote.
• Finally, getting page views is worthless if you don't collect the contact information of your readers so you can develop a relationship with them. Link your article to your Gateway Page.

What do I mean by being Number 7 out of 1.55 million on Google searches. Let me explain it this way. EzineArticles.com has a free tool you can use to see how people are finding your articles - In other words what search terms or keywords these browsers are using.
