Handling the Skeptics

About two weeks before Christmas on through until the new year I purchased a few hundred lead company because I have not done straight up cold calling in a long time and wanted to see how people were acting these days.

What is interesting is how silly people get on the phone even when they know they have gone to your website and the volunarily filled in their information so they could find out more about home based business and network marketing.

I thought to myself, "I would would to experience the really bad leads out there and see how my skills have developed as far as handling the skeptics. People are always curious but they are not usually ready for someone to help them get started... which is why PPC Domination and Magnetic Sponsoring are so powerful.

So... Burning up the phone lines for a few weeks actually did wonders for me. It made me realize that there really is no better way to build a business than to generate your own leads and lead companies make a ton of money of people that just want to cut corners.

More importantly, when new people are coming into this industry there is something that can be hard to deal with which is dealing with skeptical friends, family and strangers. It can really be a pain in the neck to hear people be negative about something that you really are happy about being involved in.

One resource that I have found is very interesting is the Direct Selling Association. If you go to their website you will be pretty blown away by all the research they have done to show how big direct sales truly is.

I recommend it to everyone in network marketing because it is a billion dollar industry and VERY STRONG... if your network marketing company is also involved in the travel industry as well as health and wellness then it is a Trillion dollar industry!

There is starting to be a flood of people that are not just walking away from the corporate world, they are now running away from it. We are all teachers of the right way to have a profitable and stable career and it is a wonderful thing.

One more thing about handling the skeptics in this industry.... "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink" Don't worry about trying to "make" someone understand that network marketing or direct sales is the right industry to be in. It is the right industry to be in so one person who is misunderstood about the business won't change anything. Don't waste your time with the people that only want to argue with you.

There is always someone waiting for you to help them get started in this industry and they will bring with them a new wave of energy into your business and life. Those are the people that qualify for my time and should qualify for yours. Enjoy business and enjoy life!
