Remy Haynes “Currency Project”
It seems serendipitous that I met Remy Haynes a super-cool photographer and writer that developed the Currency Project. It was just a few short months ago she was finding a gallery and lining up her subjects for what I think is a movement in the making.
The Currency Project chronicles people from diverse walks of life who share one common denominator – facing a fork in the road as a result of the economic downturn. Rather than giving up, her subjects created new lives for themselves and doing what they love.
Being in the personal development industry, we hear stories of people overcoming adversity and facing their challenges to overcome obstacles in achieving success. The term success can be personal to some as we all have separate goals and desires that determine what level we are striving for. Any time we can hear a story of someone fulfilling their desires it paves the path for others to follow.
What started as an idea for Remy is now being shown at the James Gray Gallery in Santa Monica California from March 16, 2010 to April 18, 2010.
