My Journey - April 2012
I'd like to start this months entry talking about Facebook and some psychology around it. If you hadn't done so, your Facebook page would have automatically been switched to their new timeline appearance. My verdict; I quite like it.
Facebook, along with a plethora of other social networking sites, are becoming more and more integral to the online marketer. But are you really taking full advantage of them?
It really comes down to knowing your demographic.
If your clients are active, let's say between 09:00 to 12:00. Then there is really no point in posting content outside of these times, as the probability is that the majority of your target viewers will not see the posts.
Whilst I post to my pages sporadically I choose my times carefully when sharing them with my friend list.
Most people will be actively using Facebook (for example) during the following times;
07:00-09:00, as they make their way to work.
12:00-14:00, during their lunch break.
16:00-19:00, making their way home from work.
The above times, I would suggest, would be the optimum times to post your content and share with your friend list. It will hit the largest number of viewers, which is the point is it not!!
I am currently in the process of making it easier for people to purchase their favourite Gary Fernon photographs. With the assistance of smug mug, the arduous task of printing and shipping is taken away from me, as smug mug do all that for me.
I have come to realise that although I have a number of ideas running through my head at any one time on improving my businesses, I really don't act upon those ideas!!!
They remain at the source (my mind) and very rarely take any tangible form. Well, what I have also come to realise is that this changes dramatically if I have written it down for others to see.
What I mean by this is, by simply telling people that I am going to do a particular thing it very rarely comes to fruition. But I'm writing this to all of you. Keep your eyes on my profile because during the month of May I am going live with my new Herbalife blog. The GFP blog is already up and running. I have mapped out how I would like the new Herbalife blog to look and I am now in the process of releasing it for all to see.
