Help Me...What Did I Join Now???
I know the feeling! I think there should be a 12-step program! Everyone starts out with one company and then you start chasing the next big thing. I was with the same company for 12 years and never thought of doing anything else until they changed the comp plan - I'm still in it because of the product but it is not my main company anymore. I have always had one main company that I work seriously but I also hate to miss a great opportunity so I'm always getting in during the pre-launch of companies with top leaders I know that promise to make me rich if I "just get in and get 2!" so I work like crazy and it doesn't happen. I can recruit like crazy, but no one else can, so it all collapses and nobody makes any money. Meanwhile, I have been distracted from the company that is making me REAL money!
So now I set parameters as to what type of opportunities I will join and it cannot be just for the money or because a friend/top networker I know is doing it: 1) I have to use/need/love the product or service myself; 2) I have to know others who will use/need/love the product or service BEFORE I join; 3) I have to love the product/service so much that I would recommend it for FREE!; and 4) The compensation plan has to be one that is fair to everyone including the ones who just do a little - if they work, they get paid - without jumping through a million hoops to balance legs, etc.
So if you are always chasing the next big thing, I recommend you set your own parameters. As a Success Coach and Dream Coach, I have spent a lot of time helping people find their passion and I believe wholeheartedly that discovering and following your passion is the key to true success in anything you do in life, not just Network Marketing (see quote below). I finally came to the conclusion that if I have to do something that I am not passionate about just for money, then it is just a JOB and I don't want a JOB! I can get one of those anywhere! I want to wake up every day like I have for the last 12+ years excited to do what I do and share what I have. And yes, I would do it for free!
