Build your down-line once and never start over again

Building a down-line takes time and effort. The problem is that once you join a new business opportunity you have to start all over again. It is a process that most of us had to experience time and time again (if you been in this industry for awhile).  Personally I joined four different companies during my years as a Network Marketer.  Rebuilding my down-line was the thing that I hated most. So the question became what should I do to avoid starting all over from ground 0?

The solution is to build a down-line that will follow you wherever you go! There are only two ways that I could think of to accomplish the goal:

1)      Build your down-line and stay in contact with everyone. Once you move to a new business, contact everyone and explain why they should transfer over with you.

2)      Build an alliance that agrees to move from one opportunity to the next as a team.

Believe it or not, I tried the first method. The second solution worked far better for me. There are many advantages to building a team and carrying it with you to the next opportunity. Personally I like capturing the bonuses and advancing through ranks. I suggest taking advantage of one of the most powerful tools in Network Marketing. The solution to building your downline

You are right, DeAngelo, it does take time to build a downline. And, when you've built a solid know, like and trust relationship with them many team members will follow you if the need arises. But, wouldn't it be better to know the business you join is a five pillars company? This way, there is less likelihood that you will have to find another company to join.

Great response Irma!

The five pillars are a huge factor (and always will be in my opinion). However, there are allot of people who decide to move onto a new company, even if they did well with the last opportunity. My current up-line came from ACN and he was generating more than $40k a month. He also has checks from other businesses coming in.

Personally, I tend to move onto new business opportunities when something better comes along. By that I mean it should have a better compensation plan and increase my team's likelihood of success. Many times we will take the people who were at the bottom of the last business opportunity and place them at the top of the next one. In the end it depends on the tactics you like. Some people like to stay with one company and others move around a bit.

It Depends on the Tactics

Yes it does depend on the tactics. However, as you are probably aware, one of the pillars is a compensation plan that is fair to the part-timer, one where you can earn the most money on the fewest partners. Would you agree this eliminates some of the hopping around for a better compensation plan.

A fair compensation plan

It is extremely hard to find a fair compensation plan for part-time workers. When you look at MLM giants like ACN , Pre-Paid Legal, Primerica and others it is an uphill battle for someone who cannot work the system full-time. A friend of mine asked me to join ACN and due to their breakaway system, she never seen anything from my work after I passed her up in a week. Pre-paid legal is a good company but the charge-backs put a hole in your wallet. Each of the companies have successful individuals, however their compensation plan is not fair at all. Not to mention the fact that bonus pools are hardly every tapped into unless you are in the top 2% (in some cases 1%). If there were fair compensation plans, there would be more than a 2% success rate. Personally I do not have an issue when it comes to making money via home business opportunities. Finding something that is best for everyone in the team is the only issue.

One of the ways people in my team were able to build an income on a part-time basses was by joining another opportunity and getting placed on the top. It is one of the few ways to look after the little guy on the bottom.

Out of all of the companies that I researched, I only found one that seems fair to everyone. The compensation plan is a “pool system” that was created with the distributors in mind. All you need is one recruit and $500 team volume for the first pool. There are a total of nine pools that are not complicated to get into. Currently it seems like the place that can be the home for my team. However, for those who are still looking for a home, they can move as a team with the source above.
