Why I became a fitness and health coach

The people I used to know back when I was in my teenage years are all surprised that I am so healthy and fit now. You see, when I got to be 13, I started gaining weight and kept gaining all through my highschool and college years. In college I got gall bladder problems because my body could not process any more fat. I knew I had to do something about it.

After college,I got married and I started researching ways to lose weight and get fit. I started a running program and followed a strict diet program. I lost weight, but my husband still left me after a tough 2 and a half years (it will be 11 years tonight, new year's eve, since he left). I went through a really hard time and my weight kept going up and down. I ended up getting pregnant out of wedlock and was going to get married, only to be cheated on and dumped again. I ended up a single mom for two years. I worked hard and started walking a lot with my son after work, as well as during my lunch breaks. I lost weight, but my self-esteem was quite low. My abs were flabby and I just didn't like how I looked physically at all.

I got remarried in May of 2002. My husband was overweight and always tired. I started focusing on fixing good meals for him to get him healthy and he now says that I saved his life. He says that if it weren't for me getting into health and fitness, he would never have lost weight and have as much energy as he has now. That inspired me to get involved as a fitness and health coach. I started my own healthsite, this one, so that I could help people get fit and healthy. I keep it updated all the time and recently I changed the name of it to Abundant Energy HealthClub. I hope to get a lot more people to go to my site and see what has helped me and my family get healthy and be inspired to do the same. I love to inspire people by word and example. I love to walk the talk. I love encouraging people to get fit, healthy and energetic for life, without jumping on the latest "fad diet" train.
