If you are among the millions of people who are searching for a legit online business, this article will give you some tips on how NOT to get ripped off.

Research and Study:

This is the first thing you need to do to avoid getting ripped off. You need to pick apart any business or program you are thinking of getting into to truly know and understand their products, compensation plan, and most importantly, their integrity. Pick apart their website, listen to a conference call hosted by the company (or even better, the CEO), and do a Google search on the founder or CEO to fully understand who will be leading your success. This can be a determining factor if you will join the company/program or not. And finally, NEVER ASSUME. Check everything out for yourself in detail.

Ask Others:

You may want to start by participating in forums or blogs, and/or speaking with someone who is already involved in the industry. While it does not hurt to ask for other peoples opinions, you must be prepared to hear negative reviews more than positive reviews. This is where you may need to do some further studying to figure out if what that person said is actually true. Don't believe everything you hear.

Don't Be Over Skeptical:

If after researching, studying and picking apart a specific company/program, and you find nothing wrong, don't be afraid to jump in and join. It most likely is not a scam.

Start Making Money:

Now you can focus your time and energy into building your business and making money online. If it is in fact a legit business, take control and build it up. Because if you don't, someone else will!
