Irish versus American News 
I read a piece by Mike Dillards about Copywriting and the brainwashing of the American Public with the use of keywords in the narrative.(need link!!)
Its the same in the Irish News!!
Recently its been all about Mr Obama, and him being potentialy the first African/American President. How much preparation was done for him to make potentialy the most important speech of His career. Also News of an attempted assasination, that was quickly supressed.
Now....today....Mr. McCain was mentioned;
The Independent "A former runner-up in Miss Alaska has been chosen as John McCain's running mate for the US elections. The Republicans are hoping 44 year old Governor Sarah Palin will appeal to women and minority voters.The duo face the Democrat nominee Barack Obama and his number two Senator Joe Biden in the November race to be president"
RTE said; This suprise nomination is said to have overshadowed Mr Obamas Speech! And the "GOSSIP" is about why such an unexperienced, running mate, was chosen."The surprise choice marks a huge political risk by John McCain, and a blatant bid to win over disgruntled Hillary Clinton supporters."
I can't wait to see how the writers translate and develop this into Newsprint!!
