I made a discovery via Twitter that I'm actually pretty excited about.  me2everyone is a social networking community in pre-launch and they are giving away 100 free company shares just for joining.  They also give additional shares when you refer friends and their population is currently at almost 400,000.

me2everyone is creating a huge social networking community where you can take part in the normal social networking activities, like chatting, meeting new contacts, sharing videos, etc., but they will also be adding features for business owners, like storefront selling capabilities.  They expect the company shares to be worth .58GBP (which translates to about 77c US) in a couple years time. 

In addition to the opportunity to earn free shares in the company just by participating, there are also online positions available for customer care and global executive.  And if me2everyone notices you 'causing ripples' there are apparently bonus shares in it for you.
