Lessons From A Blender
I strolled into the kitchen this morning for my second heat up of my coffee, when I saw my husband put a huge chunk of ice into the blender for his chocolate shake. The first words out of my mouth were, "you're going to break the blender."
As he hit the button nothing happened. A grin went over my face. "I knew it. There was no way it could crack this huge chunk of ice. He should have broken it into smaller pieces first." Then my eyes wandered over to the outlet. The blender wasn't even plugged in.
With a huge smile on his face, my husband picked up the cord and plugged it into the outlet. Then hit the "Ice Breaker" button. Noisy but without any difficulty the blender started to break the ice.
My husband turned to me and triumphantly asked, "what did you learn from this lesson?"
"That to be successful, you've got to be plugged in", I answered.

Funny Story
My wife and I were playing cards with my parents yesterday and she was dealing cards and forgot to deal cards to herself. I quickly said, how are you going to be in the game without any cards.
You can't win when you're standing on the sidelines!
