What Stops You From Growing Your Business?
We all want to be successful in our business (or other fields of our lives) but many of us, may go through obstacles which stop us from reaching what we want. The main obstacle which holds you from the business is YOU yourself and your fears. In this blog, I will talk about how to remove fear - any fear from our lives? How fear comes to our lives and how we can control it.
It is essential to know what holds you back from your goals and deal with it. We all experience fears and struggle with it; but we do not know how to deal with it.
We are told to “ignore it” and so we do; trying to move forward. It is like we carry heavy bags behind us.
Yet, when we experience something similar that cause the fear, we run away from it, because we are scared of the pain.
Does it really have to be like this?
We can deal with it, and not be afraid of it anymore. I will talk about it in a second.
So why is it so important in the business?
Well, to be successful in a business, you need to believe in yourself. Yet, if you fear that you are not good enough, or sacred of public speaking, or do not have enough confidence for example, the fear will stop you from achieving what you could achieve.
Anyway, read on to find out what I mean.
So let’s start from the beginning...
Subconscious mind and conscious mind
Our subconscious mind controls about 90 percent of our lives and functions. The conscious mind controls about 10 percent of our lives and functions.
With the conscious mind we gather information; we gather the information with out five senses: smell, sight, touch, taste and hearing.
All information gathered by your conscious mind is evaluated by your subconscious mind as its job is to keep you safe.
Subconscious determines it, through your feelings about the situation, whether you feel good or bad about it. If you feel good about it - it is safe, but if you do not feel good about it - it is not safe.
Subconscious then dictates every action to the conscious mind. It is the subconscious mind that allows action to the conscious mind. It does that based on how it makes you feel - whether it makes you feel good or bad.
If something is not safe or terrifying to you, because of your previous experience; it is going to make you scared and you are not going to do it.
Only two emotions exists
There are only two emotions in the human body: love and fear.
Love is good, and we all want to be loved.
However, all other emotions are influenced by fear.
When you are angry, it is because you are afraid that somebody has said or done something to damage you or harm you.
When you are feeling frustrated, that is a fear that although you have tried something ten times, and you keep trying and it is just not working. So you are afraid that you are never going to do it.
If you are feeling very sad, it is a fear that you have lost something, you will never be able to retreat.
A limiting belief is simply another form of fear.
A limiting belief starts in childhood, thinking that they are not good enough, not smart enough, not wealthy enough. It starts when you are a little kid because as a child, you compare yourself to adults. You could not run fast enough as would adult do, you could not tie shoes etc.
Many adults still need to get over this childhood beliefs, which are still here when you were young.
So how can you deal with it?
Whenever, you experience your fears again, identify what caused them, and speak out opposite. So for example, if you fear that you are not a good enough, then speak out loud that YOU ARE a good enough - repeat it all the time until your subconscious will accept it. Then, you will see the results.
Because we receive what we believe in.
Conscious action for success
Conscious desires are communicated to your subconscious via your thoughts and words. What you think and what you say. You have complete control over it.
Listen to yourself
Monitor your thoughts and speech.
Whatever you focus your attention on, you will receive more of. If you focus on: “I do not have enough money; I am not good enough! - Your subconscious says OK - and you receive that.
So think about positive things and about what you want your life to look like.
Make it a habit to think and talk only about what you desire.
Your subconscious listens to every word you say - it will deliver whatever you speak about.
Practice and develop the habit of replacing undesirable thoughts with desirable ones.
Basic principle: You must consciously “accept” that a negative emotion (fear) exists before you can remove it.
All negative emotions are caused by a destruction in the body’s circulating energy system
- fear - like all emotions - live in the subconscious mind
- denial and distraction are learned responses to escape fear or pain
- each of us has our personal respository of subconscious fears that have never been processed or resolved
- if something is painful or frighting, we are taught to “ignore it” - it is the biggest lie “ignore it and it is going to go away” - this is wrong. It is like we are carrying heavy bags behind us.
- An expected painful or frightening event is a “shock” to our system
See yourself as being successful and your subconscious will figure out the way to help you to get there!
