What Makes Consumers Buy Chicken Noodle Soup?
Chicken Noodle Soup is one of the best selling products worldwide. Why? Is it because it tastes Mmmh Mmmh so good, or is it because Egyptians say it was a cure for the common cold, or was it that the Brazilians thought it helped people with digestive problems, or is it that someone found a way to market this product. Did you know that about 350 million cans of chicken noodle soup of all commercial brands sold annually in the United States alone, 60 percent is purchased during the cold and flu season. January is the top-selling month of the year. Worldwide consumers purchased almost 2.5 billion cans of soup per year. Wow, maybe we need to be in the chicken noodle business!
Or Is It All Just Too Trivial?
Ever purchase a can of chicken noodle soup and the label shows you a picture with the chicken bigger than the noodles, and when you get home you find it to be a disappointing reality, the noodles are bigger and more plentiful than the chicken. But even after disappointment we still are back to the grocery store buying this product in the next few weeks. Why? Is it because of that ubiquitous picture on the chicken noodle soup can? Or is it that we are all owing to the folk-belief that it will help cure illness. Did you know that while chicken noodle soup is nutritious and easily digested, it is unlikely that the soup has any healing properties apart from the symptom-relieving power of steam? However it has been said by some scientist that there has been some scientific evidence to suggest that chicken soup slows down the movement of certain white blood cells which cause the symptoms of a cold. Whatever the reason may be, it is proven that people all over the world love and buy chicken noodle soup!
What products are we trying to sell? By sell, I mean "get others to use"!
This is why consumers buy products right, or was it because the marketer had a design to capture this specific product-buying market. However you choose to get you consumer to purchase and continue to using your company's product, make sure that you remember these words, to succeed with a product it must establish its own unique personality or it will never be noticed, and getting the product noticed isn't the answer, but by getting the product wanted by the consumer is the answer.

I'd agree with that.
Well put mate. If we all could wave the magic wand and make people want our products, wow, that'd be awesome. I'm a very strong adviocate for putting the product before the business. We all want to make money, but if we've joined an opportunity that we wouldn't use, how deos that work. I eat CN soup, I'd have no trouble selling it. But a hair brained health product, Maybe not. Or maybe. I now am more of a 'get your own' vitiman suppliment from the grocery store kind of guy.
What is your opportunity. How did you find your way to BN?
See you round Mate;
