Mentorship "or" Try to do it alone

Mentorship. What exactly is is?

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary online; a mentor is someone that you take counsel or guidance in. Someone that you trust to guide you in your business. Therefore mentorship is being guided by a trusted individual towards success and goals that have been made for the purpose of conquering and being successful.

More times than I can count, I get the question: "Do I really need a mentor?" I asked this question to myself when I started in the online marketing world too. People ask this question for a couple of reasons.

1) The first reason is they don't want to pay for this mentorship, which can be crazy in price! Seriously! People starting a new business or are wanting guidance, usually they are not wanting to spend a fortune on someone telling them what to do. This is because they just don't have the funds to pay for this and try to build a solid foundation in their business and/or they don't know and trust the "mentor" enough to pay for their services because of the fear of being ripped off. Both are true and legitimate reasons!

2) A second reason is that some people have the personality and attitude that they can do it themselves and do not need anyone to help them. I can say that, yes, some people in some businesses can become very successful by themselves. BUT.... This does not happen very often.

Finding a mentor is a very smart, if not the smartest move, that someone can make when starting online marketing (or any other business for that matter.)

So what should someone look for in a mentor?

1) Success. If a mentor is going to guide someone toward success, they should be successful. (Don't you agree with me)

2) Dedication. Some people are so busy, they say they can and will mentor you to success but you can never get in contact with them. If this is the case, I suggest finding a new mentor. A true mentor will be there for you when you need them.

So... The question comes to me many times: "Where can I find these qualities without paying a fortune?" 
That is a GREAT question!

The greatest mentorship that I have had and that has helped me personally get my business off of the ground and bringing in money has been group led. I have a personal mentor, don't get me wrong, but I also have a support group of literally dozens of experts and mind you (successful experts) in the field of online marketing that I have access to daily if I want it.
