How I Got Started Online Quite By Accident!

You see, I started out as an Aviation Electrical Engineer. I wired helicopters of various models in the Marine Corps for almost seven years. After my time in the service, I installed Direct TV, built and installed home theatre systems, wired custom car audio, fixed slot machines, and small tool repair. From the time I joined the Marines, I was also building desktop computers on the side for extra money. I helped build and open a Fry's Electronics store in San Marcos, California, and I also helped open the Harra's Casino in San Diego.
I helped build the electronics cage for Fry's that housed all of the computer hard drives, memory sticks, and micro processors. During my time working in the cage, I met a gentelman who built commercial websites for a living. Because of my knolwedge of electronic hardware, he offered my a position with his company. I did everything from build computers, to building small advertising template websites.
Here I am almost ten years later, and I find myself blogging and running a forum for the first time. It is a larger task then one might think to maintain blogs and forums, but trust me, it is worth your time!

Same corner different time
I am an older guy as you can tell by my pitcher. I had no use for computers. My girl friend gave me two. The first one I gave away. The second for some reason caught my fancy so I learned about computers. That was 4 years ago.
I decided to start a home business and was introduced to internet marketing. Fascinating place. I now wish I would have learned how to use the internet rather than learning about computers.

Your story is truly inspiring Joe. Like Elwood I too wish I had learned how to use the Internet from a long time ago. I have been just a user. My background is in the construction industry. For many years I was a Draughtsman, I learned to draw on the board and after a few years I became proficient enough and was offered the opportunity to learn CAD (Computer Aided Draughting). I did it and never looked back. These days I spend more time trying to learn about the Internet than I do CAD, I still draw to make an extra income, but my new passion is to learn how to use the Internet to create a life long Residual Income.
