Great post. Very thought provoking. Good questions to keep in mind!
At Mass today, we had the very relevant reading of the Talents today. Just in case anyone does not remember what that scripture is, it is found in the Gospel of Matthew. Here is the link if you care to read it: Mt 25:14-30 or 25:14-15, 19-21
Our Pastor preached on the reading and told us of the 3 servants who were given talents or money amounting to 5 million per "talent". The 1st was given 5 talents, the 2nd, 2 talents and the 3rd, 1 talent. The first 2 were ambitious knowing that their master was generous, reaping where he did not sow and gathering where he did not plant, but the 3rd one was ruled by fear and buried it. Well when the master returned, the 3rd servant got the boot and was kicked out into the street. All of your questions were echoed in the hearts of the 1st and 2nd servant and answered poorly by the 3rd. The lesson of the scripture is to keep our eyes on the positive truths in our lives whether they are apparent to our eyes today or what we choose to see them in the future. Keeping your questions in mind with positive answers and positive expectations for their arrival is the key to success.
