Target Network Marketing And The Big Bad Wolf

Target Network Marketing And The Big Bad Wolf

When doing target network marketing it is essential you know who your market is.  This last month alone I have read blog post, seen other interactions of people who mistake what we as online network marketers do. The first concept I came across was a post about veteran network marketers preying on new marketers as if they were sheep. Then another incident was when a business partner of mine tried helping someone with marketing hurdles and was called a wolf for sending a strategy with an opt-in attached to it.

First thing that pops in my mind is...(what are we doing online as  network marketers if we are not marketing to help people and make money doing it)? Strange part is, the people saying this, are trying to pitch their mlm company right out the gate with no relationship building what so ever. And when we see that happen its a perfect chance to help that person out and show them whats really going on in the world of online network marketing.

I wish when I first started online pitching my business all over the place someone would have stop me and said "I can help show you the way". Back then I would have been all over it, but instead I had to find out the hard way through trial and eror.

If I was in the golf niche, wouldn`t my target market be people who play golf? If I invented the latest and greatest golf club, wouldn`t I send prospects brochures or news letters and potentially sell them the golf club? Wouldn`t we both, the consumer and the seller be receiving some kind of benefit from the transaction?

Target Network Marketing Gurus

In this industry everyone wants to recruit or work with a top notch marketer or business persons. But if that person already has everything they need marketing wise and company wise why would I waste my time putting my message in front of them when there are people who know nothing about any of the target network marketing we do online?. It just doesn`t make sense.

Its ok to write content tailored to season vets and its ok to write content or market to people who are new to the industry. First you must examine what it is that you want. If you want to recruit season vets your approach is going to have to be totally different. Your target network marketing  campaigns will mostly have to be geared around landing JV partnerships, that's where the relationship can build more as you both work on projects together. Season vet online network marketers have seen almost everything there is to see when it comes to marketing online. So getting their attention will not come as easy as showing them how to set up a capture page. Promoting their content or products to your list, getting on leader boards, and being their top affiliate for their programs is how you win them over.

Get Better At Target Network Marketing

Other than that, you should be developing your target network marketing skills to build new leaders. Ask yourself this question, if you are not marketing to new people online that have not a clue to how they are to build their business, what are you doing then?

I am pretty sure there are some people out there that prey and take advantage of new marketers online, but please do not put everyone in that category if all they are doing is marketing to their target market. And if its not clear to who is the target market lets take a look...

  • people who are in network marketing
  • people who are new to network marketing
  • people who are online network marketing
  • people who are new to online network marketing
  • Etc...

If you are generating tons of traffic or maybe no traffic at all  and you are not seeing any lead conversions then maybe you should check and see what your message is really saying...who you are really talking to (is it your desired market) ?
When you know exactly who you are target network marketing to then it is much easier to have a plan for them to help as much as possible.
