I don’t know about you, but I really have to make an effort to keep up with technology. I told you yesterday about my introduction to technology in MLM secrets- Technology.

As recently as a few years ago, I made a statement at work that I hear about all the time now. I told everyone that I would never own a computer. My captain especially loves to bring that statement up to me as I run around now with a smart phone and a lap top. Not to mention my Nook color.

The last speaker of the last day at No Excuses 3 dropped some great information that can, if used, make a huge difference in your business. We are in the midst of a mobile revolution. The PC is being phased out by the mobile device. Soon, all traffic will be on a mobile device.

MLM Secrets- be mobile friendly.

That means you have to at the very least make your stuff mobile friendly. If you don’t, it just won’t get looked at.

Apps power mobile devices, and apps are a $10 billion industry.

Do you need to have your blog on an app? How about your capture pages and presentations? I don’t know, but I am looking into it. If that’s where the traffic is at, or going to be, then I want to be there too.

I had the pleasure of listening to Amish Shah talk about the app world. He passed on a few ideas that I am going to share with you today. Here is his secret formula for business and personal life. Research, build, monetize, track and optimize.

When you are getting ready to build an app, you need to research it first. Go look for your idea at itunes, google play, top app charts, and use your google keyword tool.

Research.

Step 1; Make a wish. What target market and subject do you want an app for? What keywords do you want to rank for. It stands to reason that the app stores are the new search engines.

Step 2; Covert opps. Search you chosen keywords and see what is already available. Don’t be afraid to plural your keywords for better results.

Step 3; High level analysis. Find your competitors and their rankings. Use top app charts. Take a look at their apps. Do they do what you want yours to do. Can you improve on what is already available.

Step 4; The customer grab. Apps are nothing but keywords. Use your keyword tool to come up with the keywords that will work.

Step 5; Formation. List your apps from most searched keyword with least competitors.

Now that your research is done, it’s time to build your apps. If you are a programmer, this is probably pretty easy. But what about the tech novices like me. We can use Odesk or maybe even fiverr.com. We could hire a programmer in a foregin country. Either way it’ going to cost some money.

Here are a couple of places that you can play with for building apps for free. I like free. They are: appmakr.com, everyoneapps.com, ibuildapp.com and sencha.com. Now, like all free stuff, there is some upgrade for pay stuff available.

Now that your app is built, it’s time to monetize. Submit it to itunes or google play. I’d suggest going with a free app at first. As it gets downloaded, you can sell advertising on the app. You can also use the push and nag screens to get your affiliate offers out there. You can also use in app purchasing. They can upgrade to a paid app.

Tracking. You have to know where your traffic is coming from. You can use Flurry for this, It is free.

And the last step is to optimize. You can start with quantity to get data. Come up with several free apps and find out which is working best. Then, concentrate on the winner and improve it’s quality. Don’t be afraid to introduce gaming.

You can also use app networks to link your apps together, so when one gets downloaded, they see others they can download too. Keeping them free at first will increase your downloads.

Your imagination is your only limit. Use these MLM secrets and be where the traffic is.
