My thoughts on Chapter 5 Think and Grow Rich

Chapter 5 in Think and Grow Rich reminds me of how getting the big degree really doesn't mean much other than you get a piece of paper stating that you devoted 4 years to learning book smarts.

I have found that even though you have a degree.  It really gets you no closer to financial freedom.  It might get your foot in the door with some company at a slightly higher salary, but still without practical knowledge, or specialized knowledge, its tough to compete with book smarts alone.

I can recall several people I have come to know over time that made loads of money, but with very limited education.  Often, they did not finish high school, but they acquired the specialized knowledge to make money.  Some had money mentality and everything  they touched turned to gold, while others just found a mentor to teach them whatever skills they needed to become successful and they stuck with it until they  were able to make good money.

The system I use to build my Network Marketing business is an example of getting training from people who have specialized knowledge in an area that can be very financially rewarding.  This was not taught in High School, and therefore I had to seek someone out that had the knowledge and experience in the industry in which I have choosen to study.
