Staying Close to the Fire

Yesterday on a training call, something was said that reall rang true.  Even though I've heard it before, the analogy given was a great one.

We all know how important it is to our success, to stay plugged in to your support system, staying close to the fire, so to speak.

Think of yourself as a laptop computer.  If you were to unplug yourself from the power source, how long would you be able to function?

Our human brain is no different.  If you are away from your fire, mastermind group, powersource, etc.  you begin to fade, to die out.  Old thought patterns creep their way back in to your mind.  Soon fear, doubt, and negativity begin to take the wheel.

It can begin with something as simple as missing a training call.  It make the next one easier to miss, and pretty soon BOOM! your out of business.

If you feel your batteries getting low, the best thing to do is just jump right back into the fire!  Make yourself get on that call, go read a couple of paragraphs of your favorite inspirational book.  Just do something, and you will start to feel yourself getting back in the swing of things in no time!

SO true!

We are not our best unless we are plugged in!  How useful is a toaster whose plug is not connected?  Not very useful at all!  Yes, it is still a toaster, but it cannot function to its full potential when it does not have the connection. Keep connected. It is what makes you tick!

All the Best,
