New Social Networking Site

I recently came across and site called Zenzuu.com. Its another up and coming social networking site. The difference between Zenzuu and the others is that this one says they will pay you depending on the amount of people you bring in and how much they make on the site from ads. Now the site right now has no ads at the moment, and all the spaces for ads say something like, this could be your ad. Now they pump it up and make it sound really nice, however I warn you not to be fooled by the glit and glam of it all. I will explain with some simple math. For example Myspace currently makes something around 70 million dollars a month from advertising. But please don't quote me on the price. They also have 50+ million users or so. Not sure on the actual number but I'll used that just for the purpose of this post. Now this new zenzuu sites says they will divide up 80% of all ad money they get amongst all active users. Now to be an active user and reap the rewards of this, you have to make sure that you long into your account 30 times a month. However many times you can do that in a day an hour or whatever. They don't care, as long as you do it. Now here comes the math, If myspace did the same thing this is how it would look:

Ad Dollars a Year: 70 million per month*12=840,000,000
80% of ad dollars:= 840,000,000*.80=672,000,000
Active Users: 50 Million
% of ad dollars divided amongst users: 672,000,000/50 million= $13.44 a year.

Now for Zenzuu, and I'll use a much lower number for them in terms of users. I really have no idea how many users they haev. I think they launched sometime in the summer:

Ad Dollars a Year: 70 million per month*12=840,000,000
80% of ad dollars:= 840,000,000*.80=672,000,000
Active Users: 5 Million
% of ad dollars divided amongst users: 672,000,000/5 million= $134.40 cents

Now I don't show this to bash the site. It seems like once it gets going it will be a great networking tool to use. I've joined the site as a matter of fact, however I was disappointed to find that no one is really using the site, fore it doesn't have many members and I believe everyone is focused on recruiting then anything else. Plus the site does have some bugs to work out in my opinion, but its new and I understand that. However I was wondering how people feel about the marketing practices of this site. Its promoting the income you can make and the wealth it can provide, but when I did the math, to me its not worth the effort. I mean when they do actually start getting ads there will be millions of people on the site by then, because of course with that many people, companies would love to advertise. But to me it seems they are promising something that won't be worth it when its all said and done because people will not get what the hype is implying. I mean they will of course profit since it cost them nothing to join and ask people to join but financially its not worth what the videos and the hype imply. I want you to check it out and give me feed back. Am I wrong in my thinking? I would love to know and see what people think.
