Why marketing online is a Trap

The lure of taking your Network Marketing business online is a trap that many people will and continue to fall into. With all the Noise on the Internet these days and marketing campaigns coming at you from all angles many Network Marketers are going to fall into a trap that they can never and will never get out of. I am going to show you some of those traps and I am also going to explain how to get out of them in this series.
Generally the first thing a new business owner or someone new to the Internet or seasoned veteran just taking their business to the internet is thinking is how many new leads they can generate for their business consistently and how many people they will NOT need to talk to. See the majority of Amateurs in this industry will think they can get riches online instantly by not speaking to absolutely one new lead or prospect for their business. How is that going to work again?
Here is the Mindset of the PIE IN THE SKY Amateur professional.
This is absolutely awesome, I see that there are so many people in our profession that instantly gain riches by using Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and a blog and they strike Gold. I am already not that comfortable speaking to new leads or sorting for Leaders so I will build an Internet funnel and let that do all the work for me. I will capture Leads, I will have them get my automated emails, and they will just call me ready to sign up into my business. YES, this is going to be HUGE!
This could not be so much further from the Truth of what is going to happen
Many people fall into this trap because it seems so easy to do, and it appears that there is no need for actually having to speak with someone in person, or actually having to call them on the phone. Many fearful marketers are running and hiding from telling people about their business face to face because they fear rejection. Quite frankly, I’ve never been rejected about my business. So why are so many afraid to speak with people in person? It’s because they build up this perception of Fear and they actually are embarrassed of the Industry that they are apart of because of the Negative connotation of their friends and family.
So what this essentially means is that this person is not strong-willed enough NOT to take on the thoughts of others. They are constantly thinking of what other people will think of them because they are in Network Marketing.
Did you know that most of the Rich Networks and professionals in our Industry could care less about what others think and they are actually want people to know they gained their riches via this industry? The Internet has made it VERY easy for lots of people to hide behind screens and keyboards without really creating relationships or connecting with others and this is truly SAD.
Do you know that this Marketing trap will cause many people in our industry to fail? Did you know also that many individuals will make excuses for themselves why they can’t and won’t network in person? Too many people think online marketing is simple and it can be perfected overnight. My friend that won’t happen anytime soon.
So what’s truly the issue here and why are so many people hiding behind the online billboards and not revealing themselves to the public, so we can see who you actually are? I will explain that in my next post in this series.
Question: Why do you feel many people are hiding behind their online marketing efforts and not actually making real connections in person?
