How to get a buck for daddy

It’s deer hunting season here in the Northwest.  Many women feel deserted.  Kids too.

When you figure up the cost of the deer tag, the gas it takes to drive around and find the animal, snacks and your beverage of choice, well, you and I both know,  it’s not about getting free meat.

One mother I know was tired of the expense and being without a husband and father for their son.

On this particular day the 4 year old son was hunting with Dada, which he did occasionally.

Mother calls up Dada on the cell phone and says, “How about you have 4 year old son pray you find a buck?”

So Dada asks 4 year old son to pray.  “Okay”, little son says,  “but plug your ears, because I don’t want you to hear me.”

So little son prays something like (Dada was really listening).  “God, please let Dada find a buck.”

Twenty minutes later a buck appears right in front of their truck!  Of course, Dada gets out and shoots the answer to prayer.

Four year old son says, “Dada, prayer really does work!”

It’s a awesome lesson for a 4 year old to experience.  I am doubly proud because that 4 year old is my grandson.

Maybe you believe that God does not care so much about trivial things such as shooting a buck.  There are more pressing and serious concerns in the world.  Concerns such as sickness, the state of our Nation, starving or abused children and hate or unforgiveness in people.

Or you may be of the frame of mind that God cares about every aspect of our life.   Big or small he loves us all and wants to help us.

What is it that you need?  What is it that you desire?  Is there anything troubling you?  Is there anything you should be more grateful for?

No matter what it is, take it to Him.  Don’t let prayer be the last resort.  Let it be the first thing you do.  Go to Him with the faith of a child.

Pray and look for your “buck” to appear.

Great Advice Lynn !

Go To The Lord In Prayer !
I talk to The Lord quite a bit because I fall short quite often, and I know that I need Him to guide me and lead me.
Without His Guidance I would be totally lost.

I Agree!

The first thing I do in the morning & the last thing I do at night is pray. Not to mention all the little prayers in between. Your advice is solid. We are creators of success, and HE who created us WILL guide us IF we ask. My faith in HIS love for me & others sustains me. We are great by HIS design, therefore nothing is impossible for us! Thanks Lynn for sharing.

Amen!

Thank you Lynn. If everyone, everywhere, began everything they do with prayer can you imagine how beautiful this world would be?

Let Us Pray! Amen Lynn

Lynn, reading your article is quite beautiful. After I read it, I thought of Hebrews 13 and Psalm 37. Spirituality is quite important especially in this industry. My daughter of 18 years is living proof of my praying, trusting and knowing God's Love and promises. When you really believe and have faith and discipline yourself with daily prayer, I know that He has equipped all of us with everything we need. I need Him in my life, as much as I need to breath. Jesus works through the innocence of children and as Tyler said "Dada prayer really works". In my personal life and professional career, I have seen many miracles": believe, seek faith, pray and love. Great Value Lynn. Thank you.

God cares

I absolutely agree with this, Lynn. God cares about all the details of our lives, even our businesses. Sometimes people pray, "Help me!" because they don't want to accept responsibility for their businesses. They want it to drop from heaven. More often God lays out the plan...and then expects us to put it into action.
It's amazing how I see God's fingerprints in every aspect of my business.

What the world needs now is love sweet love.. Take care and God Bless.
