Me and Henry Ford Have a Thing Going On

You've heard that song from long ago..."Me and Mrs. Jones".....well, Me (Mrs. Jones) and Mr. Ford have a thing going on.
Yes, it's true. We have this thing where we are so much alike in so many ways.
You see, I am like Ford in that I also have a row of push-buttons on my desk, where by pushing the right button, I can summon to my aid anyone who can answer any question I desire to ask concerning the business to which I am devoting my efforts. Why should I clutter up my mind trying to Know everything when I have people around me who can supply any knowledge I need?
I am like Ford in that I am not ignorant, but educated! Any man or woman is educated who knows where to get knowledge when they need it, and how to organize that knowledge into definite plans of action.
I am like Ford in that through the assistance of his "Master Mind" group, he had at his command all the specialized knowledge he needed to enable him to become one of the wealthiest men in America. He did not need to have the knowledge in his own mind.
Remember Henry Ford had less than a sixth grade education. We do not need to be ashamed or feel inferior because we are not a woman or man of "education". Obviously through the aid of his Master Mind group Ford bridged any gaps of weakness he may have had. That is the beauty of a Master Mind group, a tribe, or a supportive team or whatever you may like to call it......we don't have to know it all!
I believe one of the things that keeps people from jumping in is that they don't know where to start, let alone what to do after that. If I don't specialize in "keywords", I know someone who does. If I know nothing about video marketing, I know who to point to. If I have knowledge about something, I will pass on what I know. If not, I know where to point someone who has a need I can't fill. We have many areas of specialized knowledge just waiting to be tapped into.

Well said Lynn, and I agree just like Mr Ford... you are also a great leader. Knowing where to find the information and how to point your team members to it, is what it's about. I've always supported that a leader doesn't have to have all the answers, but should be able to point to where you can find them. Great comparison with Mr Ford. Good Job!
You just Taught me the value of a lesson
I do not have to be right all the time. I just have to know where to get the right answer. And without a team of people this would be harder then it needs to be. Thanks Lynn

Great info here Lynn. I love how you connected this lesson with Mr. Ford. He truly set an amazing example for us. He knew he didn't need to know everything to be successful, all he needed was to be associated with people who did know the answers. And that is true here in mentoring for free.
