Be original, please?
I have been inundated with ads from The Reverse Funnel System… most notably the one with the subject “I WANT NEWBIES!!!”.
I don’t know about other ezine publishers, but in my case I have found that using the ‘cookie cutter’ ads that come with programs such as this, do not do very well. In fact, they do not pull at all.
People get used to seeing these ads, and if they weren’t interested before, don’t expect them to change overnight… in fact, most will only delete them…
So, if you want your ads to pull… use something original… something that no one else uses. If you need to, find someone who will write an ad for you.
Oh, and don’t make it 12 pages long! Most ezine publishers and other places that accept ads do not accept ads longer than maybe 10 lines… the best are between 5 and 7 lines (and this includes the url).

Great advise...
Thank you for sharing this Michelle. As busy networkers we can tend to get lazy where it comes to creativity. We also tend to underestimate our unique voice and overestimate how suffisticated you really need to be to "write with pull".
Many networkers miss the part about those canned messages being only a suggestion. We don't consider for a second how many times people have already seen the same tired ads a thosand times!
We have no clue why the ads get little, if any response/conversion.
I'm actually in week 4 into a 6 week program called "Wrting With Pull". If anyone else want to find out more about how to write your own original content using a simple formula check out my resource box.

Does Ezine Advertising Work?
This reminds me one of my articles that is hated by many people LOL.
Excerpt: "If you're a copycat who copies some ezine ads that thousands of other people already blasted to readers until these readers became exasperated seeing again and again the same ad, I have to disappoint you: ezine advertising is not for you and it doesn't work like this ..." - Original Source: Does Ezine Advertising Work?

This policy is in place in order to prevent people publishing blog posts without a PROPER resource box for the author.
Next time when you want to publish one of my articles, please contact me first or use the article as posted on various ezines articles directories where the article contains the resource box appropriate for the content of that particular article.
If for whatever reason you don't want to contact me first, then all you have to do is to search on Google for the title of the article and you'll find immediatelly what you're looking for (ezine articles directories that will provide you my articles with the right resource box).
If you plan to archive anywhere online that issue of your ezine, I would appreciate if you respect my copyright and add a resource box I approve, not one you choose randomly.
