What Is A SubDomain?

A Subdomain is used to organize your website content. The domain needs to be purchased firstly then you can subdomain and or mask and forward it. A simple fee well invested to run a home business online.

Understand that a subdomain is a third level domain. When I talk of third level domain that means the first level is .com then the second level is mariaeves then the third level is subdomain.

With a personal url to access you will find the folders under your root directory.

Here' is an example of a url with a subdomain. It happens to be one of me favourite products and thankful to have received it and now implement into my marketing strategies.

The subdomain is the product. The words on the left of your name.
The .com is the first level domain
Maria Eves is the second level domain.
The product is the third level domain.

Why do we use a subdomain?

What I know now and wish I had of known earlier is that you can organise your website.
For example one thing Iv learnt the hard way is to make sure anything you join online has a support area tab, or help tab along with a tab for FAQ for the bigger business websites. When organising your website examples.

Email addresses can be better organized with seperate departments on your website like support@support.yoursite.com, orders@store.yoursite.com.
Long URLs are cut short to a subdomain, so it is easy to remember the short URL instead of long URLs.
Affiliate links are long and special characters which makes it difficult to remember.
By creating a subdomain for long url helps to remember it well.
