Ahhh… The lazy, dog days of summer.  Chillin out by the pool with the kids, eating watermelon and listening to the bees buzz. Not a care in the world.

We all deserve a bit of this. Its normal, natural and deserved. Short, intensive breaks from your home based business will keep you sane and re-charge you.
What you must avoid is unplugging for too long.
There is a common myth that is perpetuated by lazy Network Marketers all over the world – and that is that business slows down in the summer. And guess what happens if you internalize this belief? It DOES!
If you slow down, your business slows – duh!
Lets be really specific here. If you do less prospecting, because its summer and -
* the kids are home from school
* you have a vacation week coming up
* ‘everyone’ you call is getting ready for vacation and not open
* Its hot
* Your hungry
* Your lazy….
*it’s a perfect beach day and you have to cut the watermelon

Then your pipeline dries up. You have fewer people looking at the overview.

The person who has the most prospects watch the overview WINS. So, by definition, lazy = YOU LOSE.

Lets shift the belief to what I perceive as the REALITY in the summer. You should do MORE prospecting because its summer and -
*people are out and about in a celebratory mood
*people are happy and receptive to new friends, because they are on vacation
* you see more people in the summer than you will ALL winter
* many people have more time on their hands now – especially those in the school sytem

In short- summer is an AWESOME time to prospect! You should have your pockets full of business cards ready to exchange and network. Smart business people in other professions know that summer is the perfect time to make those crucial connections.

And you are SMART, right?

I’m even going to give you a sneak peek into the FUTURE – and you are going to be incredibly prepared to rock it out.
You ready?

September is going to be INCREDIBLE – IF, you don’t fall for the lazy days of summer.

What typically happens to the lazy networker is that September comes and they get all pumped up by the fact that September is the #1 month to build a home based business. Why? Because the kids are back in school and parents are open to ways of supplementing their income to pay off the debt they incurred over the summer.
So the typical lazy networker kicks it into high gear come September and prospects like mad to make things happen. And they have a pretty good month. They prove the ‘model’ that September is great.

But YOU are not lazy. YOU are going to fill your pipeline all summer long. Yes, many will tell you its not the time for them. But come September, you’ll have a whole list of pre-exposed, totally warmed up follow up calls to make – and you will blow that lazy Networker out of the water!

My friend. You don’t follow the masses. You are a leader. You will prospect all summer and have a wildly successful fall as a result.

Trust me. Trust the truly successful people. Ignore the naysaying lazy folk – and make it happen!
