One experiment gone strange...Little steps toward the Big B

Tonight I made iced milk soup.  I was shooting for ice cream, but I only had one egg and the cream in the fridge turned out to be growing things.  I didn’t have time to run out and get more ingredients.  So, I just used what I had – one free range egg, organic whole milk, rich Mexican vanilla, sugar and a pinch of salt.  I put the whole thing in an ice cream freezer and voila - iced milk soup. This is a huge step forward for me – a step that I’m celebrating and having fun with.  It’s totally bizarre!

For most of my life I did what I could to do what I was told.  I went to school, got good grades and got a good job.  Sound familiar?  I wasn’t miserable exactly, I just wasn’t happy and I didn’t know why.  Then, a friend of mine gave me a book that would change my life forever – Robert Kyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad.  And I got it!  I realized that I had been taught to be a cog in a wheel, a worker bee in a hive instead of what I was born to be.

For the last six or seven years, I have taken steps toward the dream that Robert’s book inspired in me.  My husband and I started a real estate business.  I started a private practice.  We were reaching toward the B & I quadrants but we didn’t know how to do that yet.  I kept ending up having E & S experiences because I knew how they worked and I was comfortable there.

I had my first experience with MLM about 9 months ago and really began building my first networking business just 3 months ago.  And today, I realized how much I have changed.  I realized how powerful the education and environment of networking is to a growing “B quadrant” entrepreneur.

The perfectionism that I nurtured for all of my school years and into my adult life is falling away.  I’m beginning to integrate the lessons I’m learning here at Magnetic Sponsoring and from other amazing mentors in networking, internet marketing, copywriting, marketing, web 2.0, and leadership…I truly could go on and on.

I’m able to experiment and celebrate the journey – even when it doesn’t turn out “perfectly” as I intend.  I acted in the moment instead of waiting for the perfect set of circumstances or ingredients and as a result I got to enjoy iced milk soup for the very first time.

I’m happy to share the recipe – it’s fabulous!
