What is The One Life Alliance Pledge??

One Life Alliance Pledge, what is it? My friend Mark who has been part of The Synchronicity Foundation in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia for about 20 Years, called me in November 26th 2008 to let me know that a group of people from the Synchronicity Foundation had gone on a Spiritual Journey with Synchronicity Founder Master Charles Cannon to Mumbai. I have had along with my girlfriend spent time in Virginia and have made some wonderful friendships. Mark was, telling me that The Oberoi Hotel was under attack and Naomi and her dad Alan Scherr, might have been shot. I , of course was not only shaken up but I felt like I was frozen, I could not move, I was in totally disbelief.

Naomi, was an incredible kid, with a light in her eyes and a lovable sense of having fun and looking forward to attending preparatory school in Troy, New York. At the time , I, was living in Albany, NY, so I was looking forward to being there for her!! Her mother and Alan's wife Kia Scherr, was of course grief stricken, however , At a time when most people would have simply said “No,” through her pain, Kia found the courage to say “Yes!” Yes to forgiveness. Yes to love. Yes to Life. Along with spiritual teacher, Master Charles Cannon (himself a survivor of the Mumbai attack), Kia formed One Life Alliance, an organization dedicated to educating and inspiring people, in the sacredness of and respect for life with the hope of preventing acts of violence and terrorism through understanding, knowledge, engagement and transformation.
