Betternetworker?Don't do What?
When I first came to this site I was bewildered. There were people telling you not to advertise. Then a cop came on the scene. He even sent an email to your personal address threatening to kick you out for certain things. Lots of people welcomed him back. After living in Los Angeles for 18 years, I'm not too fond of cops (even a cartoon). I have never had a personal encounter with one and for that I am grateful.
I looked around the site and casually did a little advertising even putting some in my bio. [I took it out!] I asked people to be my friend and they did. Just a little networking because I thought this was just a networking site. There are other sites that are filled with millions of flashing banner ads, line ads, blogs and opportunities. But not at Betternetworkers, there were not a lot of flashy ads, people asking you to join their site, people requesting to place a comment on your site, etc.! Definitely different atmosphere.
Tonight I realized there are a lot of seasoned networkers with a wealth of solid information on this site. I will make this a site to visit daily to absorb more of the knowledge that is being posted. My goal when I started exploring for an internet business was to be able to recoup my 401K losses as well as maybe help some others.
The more blogs I read on Betternetworkers the better I like it. I believe some of the information you are posting will keep me from crashing head on into the HYPE. Thanks to all of you who contribute such great material and so far I have found articles that have been a big help. I look forward to learning, adding more friends and making my Internet venture a success.
Thank you BETTERNETWORKERS!

When I first joined BN I was intimidated. In the beginning the rules changed and I had to adjust.
Just read the rules and abide, there is wonderful information to glean here. We can all learn from one another. We all want success.

When I first arrived, I felt like a kid in a candy store. I think most new ones arriving on social networking sites were guilty of slinging a little spam. But as with anything new, most people either learn the rules of social networking, or their long gone.
