Footprints in the Snow

Germany has had a massive amount of snow over the last weeks. Sadly the sun has hardly shined to bring out the beauty of the snow when it sparkles and glistens.

We live direct on a park. Usually when night falls it is dark and dreary, you know, sort of spooky. When snow falls it lightens up everything.

It is wonderful to wake in the morning and notice that everything is quiet and looking out sees the whiteness reaching out across where grass and paths used to be.

There is only on wish that one then has and that is to get out and enjoy it.

Walking through the snow, which was already deep for Germany some thoughts went through my mind.

I remembered the Christmas song "Good King Wenceslas". You probably know it too...

"Sire, the night is darker now,

And the wind blows stronger;

Fails my heart, I know not how,

I can go no longer."

And then the wonderful reply

"Mark my footsteps, good my page

Tread thou in them boldly,

Thou shalt find the winter's rage

Freeze thy blood less coldly"

Walking through with a little fellow one day he also found the snow too deep, so I told him to tread in my footsteps. This was fun and developed into a fun game.

But there is an amazing truth in it.

We follow in the footsteps of our parents, or a teacher, or someone who influences our lives. Sometimes we tread out and have to find out we need to get back into them again.

And so it is in a networking business. This is really important.

It is a difference working in a firm when you just lean over and ask someone to help. But in networking!

YOU NEED TO WALK IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THOSE WHO HAVE THE EXPERIENCE AND TREAD IN THEM BOLDLY.

Notice what King Wenceslas said "MARK my footsteps". Not only tread in them. Before you tread in them MARK THEM. See exactly what is meant. Keep your eyes fixed on them. Don't get caught up with something else. MARK THEM.

Like Video training

"Follow where I click"

"Do what my cursor shows you"

Further you will remember the song goes on to say:

"Heat was in the very sod

Which the saint had printed"

An extra Bonus! No need to say more.

My thankfulness goes again and again to those who are much further than I. Those who are willing to share their knowledge, have it on their hearts that others reach their goals without having too much difficulty. What efforts they have put in to path the way and make the treading much more easily for those following.

Therefore I can really give a long list of those I have learned from. Many are not just treading, they are running. I take it they now have snow-shoes on...time you achieved yours as well? They are throwing the networking snow in the air. Above all they have a true interest of making the way easier for those who are plodding through the heavy snow and preparing them to be leaders planting their footsteps as well.
