Paul Newman
The film star, Paul Newman, passed away on Friday. He will always be remembered for his very sharp blue eyes. But there is much more written about him.
He celebrated his Golden wedding to Joanne Woodward in January. He was nominated ten times for an Oscar. He had a passion for car racing and was well known for his social political engagement. And this I did not know: He achieved innumerable Million dollars through the sale of Salad-, Spaghetti sauces and Popcorn which was branded with the name “Newman’s Own”. With this he financed amongst others a holiday city for children suffering from cancer. He was engaged with the Citizen Rights movement and influenced greatly the control of weapons. Once again we see the truth of giving making rich. Paul Newman is an example of this. May not only our lives be an example in whatever we do, but may our goal also be to help others to be so as well.
