The smile of the entrepreneur
Over the last week or so I have been putting entrepreneurs into my business. They are lovely people. Full of ideas and new ways of doing things, not to mention going off in all directions.
The one thing I learned long ago is that you cannot teach an entrepreneur. Their DNA won't allow it. Either they become a leader in your team, or they merrily fizzle out in a confusion of brightly lit fireworks, particularly rockets that fail to take off.
But, hey, if you get a good one, you could be set for life. They can certainly make things happen and give your business a phenomenal boost.
I have one guy, he is absolutely the best networker I have ever come across. He is helping me build what might be a formidable downline.
He simply does it through his contacts and his drop dead friendly networking skills. But is he interested in any of the detail of my business opportunity or what he has to do to personally qualify?
Not a bit of it.
When I ask him if he has looked at the comp plan he smiles at me, that charming smile, and says “What do you think? You know what I'm like”
I know what I think, if he keeps on going like this, he'll be instrumental in builiding me a powerful business, but he himself will scarcely profit.
But he’s great fun to be with and brightens up my life. And, if you let your guard down, he can really make you believe that money, even success, isn’t everything.
