They can tell who you are

It might be old fashioned, but it's absolutely true. Not all the marketing tricks in the world can replace character and integrity when it comes to network marketing.

You can get them to the door with a cool piece of marketing. You can get them in with masterly persuasion. But you will never establish a relationship without being a person of integrity and genuine desire to help people get what they want.

I paraphrase, but a  great soothsayer once said on insincerity driven by self interest: "I cannot hear what you say as it is drowned out by who you are."

There's a lot of talk about being an alpha networker. Powerful and charismatic. Yes, it's true, some people have that magnetic appeal.

But I've seen them in action, and they do succeed, for a while. But eventually they can self destruct such is their absorption in their own celebrity and ego.

I have set up the biggest network in Europe. Yes, I am charismatic and I can wow an audience on my good days. But I know this:

When it comes to building an enduring network it's what's in your heart that counts. You must have a genuine desire to help get people what they want for its own sake. You must be prepared to let your future take care of itself.

That is why network marketing is a great profession because at its best,  it can inspire greatness of character.
