7 tips to blog effectively under pressure
How can you blog effectively under the pressure of a challenge?
Let’s say you are commited to write a post daily to build your home business. Only the thought alone can make you feel stressed.
Blogging daily means that you always have to be prepared to come up with fresh content when the scheduled time arrives.
And if you have other problems( financial, relational etc) and clear goals to achieve, the pressure will become huge. HEELP!
It’s pretty frustrating to be stuck before or while you write isn’t it?
Writing doesn’t have to be a struggle no matter if you have a challenge or not.
By learning from my writing experiences I was able to come up with some solutions for this problem.
Here are few tips that you can use to keep yourself in the game of writing for a long time.
7 tips to blog effectively under pressure
1. Plan well
Writing is a process that require energy and a receptive emotional state. I know , we are all different, but usually the best time for writing is in the morning.
Make sure that you have a special block of time dedicated for content creation when nobody will disturb you.
2. Get your blogging weapons
Pretty simple: a journal, a notepad file, a voice recorder, a video camera…whatever you enjoy using.
I prefer the old mighty journal ![]()
3. Become a “sponge”
Creative writing doesn’t comes from nowhere. You need ideas first, some bricks to build a wall…
Take time to read few good blogs related to your business and more important, that are useful for/visited by your target market.
Don’t settle just for blogs. You can also watch a training webinar, few Youtube videos, an interview or just read a good book/quotes.
Keep it simple! You don’t have to overload yourself with too much info.
30 min-1 hour are enough to absorb new info.
Also, have the journal prepared to jot down the ideas that will resonate with you.
4. Set an intent/goal
After you acquired some inspiration, the next step is to set your goal for that particular post: topic, what kind of info do you want to offer, what do you expect to get from it. If you can’t come up will all these aspects, at least set a general idea for the post. For example: how to blog effectively
5. Pull back
At last...some peace and relaxation.
Here’s the kicker! For a long time I used to react negatively and worry with so many information in my face.
Do the opposite: meditate for a couple of minutes, listen something soft or sit comfortably and breathe deeply.
Let the thoughts and feelings to come and go..relax and focus on your breathing.
You will see how ideas about the post show up easily and clearly. If nothing happens, don’t fret!
Focus on your breathing and wait a little more.Something must come.
6. Get to work
Now, the new ideas are fresh. Put them down quickly, first the post title and then create a structure for it: 5-6 main ideas are fine to get started.
As you write, new things will arise to help you finish the post .
Important note: remove all the distractions( Facebook, Twitter, email etc) and just create without looking back. You’ll edit/optimize for SEO/ add pictures after the work is done.
7. Rinse and repeat
In order to blog effectively you must repeat the creative process again and again. The pressure will disolve. In fact, the pressure is just an idea that generate the feeling of being stuck.
Final notes on how to blog effectively
These tips will work if you make them work. Secondly, test, refine constantly and last but not least, have fun. Everything flows when you love what you do!
