Your thought matters: what is the most effective traffic generation strategy

Here we are folks A new week just started and the time for the second episode of

” Your thought matters“ has come.

Last monday, when I was inspired to launch this post series, to interact more with people who read this blog, I didn’t know was to expect exactly.

Anyway, I decided to honor the idea and implement it.

Result?

The readers were open to questions and came up with some good relevant answers.

Of course there were different opinions related to what it takes to see your blog moving to the next level.

Yet, few ideas dominated the comments area: providing quality content consistently, traffic generation and building a responsive list.

The answer I enjoyed the most comes from Sandy Moore from Australia:

It’s a full time job keeping up the momentum on your blog while running a business online or offline.

I believe we are all constantly taking our blogs to the next level to maximise the benefits of being online. I’m often coming up with new ways to move my online office forward, key to me, is simply providing the best quality content I can for my readers.

Right now I am doing this with guest posts, which is driving some very good traffic to my website. “

A blog evolves if one keeps the momentum going by providing quality content not only on his/her blog but also by crafting killer guest posts. I still have some traffic going on to my blog thanks to the guest posts created last year.

So, based on these conclusions, a new question arises for today:

If generating traffic is a very important aspect for every home based business blog, what is the most effective traffic generation strategy ?

There are tons of methods and recommendations related to this topic: writing great blog posts, article marketing, shooting videos, guest posting, Facebook, Twitter, Stumble Upon, paid advertising( Facebook PPC, ezines and solo ads) , blog commenting, blog directories, RSS feeds, blogging contests, interviews with experts, forums, product/company reviews, doing insane SEO (free or outsourced).

The possibilities are really endless…

But, let’s think long term!

From all the options above which one (or perhaps you use more) has the highest impact, helping you not only to generate leads but also build a loyal community around your blog and monetize it? Why did you chose this strategy?
