Before we get into today’s question let’s make a quick recap of what’s happened in the previous post of this series :

Our conversation pointed to the topic of traffic generation, more exactly, the most effective strategies for creating results in one’s online business.

“The best traffic strategy is the one that works for you.

I really don’t think there is one single method. SEO is awesome for long term traffic, and would be foolish to ignore. If you do it right, it can start bringing you traffic right away. However you can’t really on this alone, because if Google gets a bug up their butt you can kiss your SEO efforts goodby.

It’s also important to network with other bloggers, and focus on building your reader base.

I think this is really just a common sense issue. No one angle or trick or tactic is going to work like a magic bullet. You just have to be smart about it and do a few things that work and be consistent with them.”

Great input buddy! Generating traffic comes down to what fits your personality.

Secondly, an online business can be compared to a “pie” with various ingredients: creating content, making it visible through on page and off page SEO and networking/ creating connections with people from your niche.

If one ingredient is missing your “pie” will look pretty much like a nuclear accident Also, even if we know all the ingredients we need some time to bake it well.

There is no secret that building a business using blogging creates challenges no matter if one just started to blog or if he/she has some experience. While some find that is difficult to drive traffic, others consider that monetizing their list is hard. The challenge type evolves as you evolve as well.
