Make Money Online Dies A Death On Google

The Google Slap was introduced to improve the experience of Google's end users. They want a significantly more original and content rich landing page (the page the searcher goes to when they click on an advert) and the end to finding replicated websites for multiple user search terms or anything that hints at "making money online."

They have requested TRANSPARENT business dealings and good UPFRONT information about how you conduct your business including links on the landing pages to other information about the advertiser which all sounds excellent and I am more than happy to comply.

So as an advertiser I am looking to connect with potential customers and will look to find relevant ads showing up for my search terms. (as per the Google Adwords landing page).

Having a home based business that uses the internet to generate leads is normal business practise isn't it? You are looking to connect with people who are either looking for information that can help them start or improve their home business, nothing more, nothing less. In the process of doing so, some people will be looking for a legtimate home business to start which means they are looking to make a second income, a part-time income, a full time income .. but AN INCOME.

If you are a plumber in London for example, looking for potential customers (from which to make an income from by servicing their needs) you can advertise your services offline in newspapers, magazines and the Yellow Pages and at this moment in time use Google Adwords to connect with potential customers, who if hire you and you do a great job .. will pay you an INCOME.

So why then a chainsaw massacre for anything remotely legitimate for how to make money online (which if you just heard for the first time you could learn how to make money online may well be a search term you would use.)

There are plenty of people with sworn affidavit's to testify they "make money online" as affiliate marketers and home based business owners so as part of what is turning out to be a bit of a rant .. I did this search today "make money online" .. which produced the following results.

So looking at the results from the end user's point of view if I wanted some "good information" about making money online I should start with Google Adwords? The landing page does not really give me any information about my search query.

Then I should I start gambling at "888" .com? Is that really a relevant advert?

Then my trusty organic listings tell me I have a number one result of Free Paid Surveys? Well is it free or is it paid because it seems to be both?

If all of the above fail to appeal to me I am offered a loan of £1000 in 60 minutes flat as a result showing for "make money online"? Make money online to me suggests I actually have to participate in some way, getting a loan is borrowing money which is not what I want to do either.

Then joy of all joys I can don my blue rinse and play Bingo online to WIN money?

Now do not get me wrong, I LOVE Google as a search engine, but if this is the sign of things to come it will lose its most precious asset .. the end user experience it says it has in mind.

Abiding by new rules and regulations is something we all have to adjust to in business and if it puts an end to some people's evil plots to mislead and manipulate then good. But given the recent Facebook marketing activities when it comes to not only the future market potential but where the end user can already "meet" the prospective advertiser in a social space the future not only looks dismal for the end user, but for the whole "Google" experience.
