6 REASON TO GO TO YOUR MAJOR COMPANY CONVENTION

THE IMPORTANCE OF YOUR OWN COMPANY BIG EVENTS

Just imagine you arrive to room but just before you enter that huge door you can hear music, voices, laughter, and a loud voice that is saying: “Please take place, the ABC company national event will start in 5 minutes.” You cross the doorway and you enter a big convention hotel room or like this weekend, a basketball arena. There is enormous screens, with your company name on, big lights like in a rock show and there is 5 thousand or event 10 or 15 thousand people cheering your company name, wearing your company t-shirts and hats and waiting for the show to start. You walk toward your group of friends, your co-workers and leaders, you take a seat and you let the show start...

See, this is exactly what happens to me this week-end in Miami Florida (13-07-2012). There was this big National Convention from my company. But why, why do we have to go there? Why it's so important to assist to those events? What's the meaning of all this up-front show? Why do our leaders will insist and insist so much about our presence to those seminars? Well this week-end I tried to demystify what is going on over there!

6 MAJORS THINGS ARE GOING ON

#1. YOU ARE NOT ALONE: Did you ever feel that you were the only one to understand the meaning of network marketing? That you were ALONE? Well as soon as you get to an event like that, this bad feeling will change instantly, and this EVEN if you're only 3 weeks old in your company and that you're the only member of your team to go! See a lot of people have this feeling of "being alone" when their own credibility is not built and influence of other still have any kind of impact on them. But one thing is sure, you will be stronger then ever when you'll get back home.

#2, IT'S TIME TO CONNECT: Did you ever wanna be BIG in your niche? Did you ever feel like "I can change my story"? Did you ever hear a story of a guy that start in this industry from scratch and went to the top? Did you ever say "I wanna be like this too"? See, lucky you if your own sponsor is one of the top leaders in your company, but usually things aren't like it. He's only a newcomer too and he still at the beginning of the journey too! But at those events, you will hear of those who succeed and not only the "big shot" stuff like :" oh you know I made millions from "ABC", but their own struggles, even outside the business. Family problem, spouse problem, health issues, child's death, bankruptcy, people who were feeling like perfect failures, broke as hell problem!!! But they went from A to Z and made things happen even if those kinds of things pass through their lives. And this very moment that you will hear about one of those leaders, sharing their stories from the bottom of their heart, and that this story relate to your own struggles, you will instantly feel a connection between you and that leader, even if you never heard of him/her before. And that same connection’s will build-up your own self-esteem and self-motivation to take action a start from A and run to Z.

#3. YOU'LL NEVER LEARN ENOUGH: To succeed in this industry (network marketing) you WILL need tips and hints and hear about your company's strategies to build something solid and build it fast. What is best that hear those techniques and strategies from the tops earners themselves or even best, the CEO or Co-Founders! During the days that you will be at the event you will see plenty of peoples going through the days, they will usually say the same thing that you heard before but sometimes, in other words or, in another ways that will make you understand those technics more than the little formations that you had in your home town or this little DVD that your best friend asked you to listen when you joined his team. And sometimes they will even push some little secret sentences, words, postures that you will catch on the fly and that you will implement in your meetings.

#4. FROM THE HEAD TO THE HEART: When we are in the relational marketing industry, their is one shifting point in our life that must happen, and I know that every real marketers will tell you the same. WE NEED to switch our feelings from the head (analytics feelings, doubts, fears, and others thoughts that are controlling our moods and minds) to the heart (faith, the “no option but succeed”, desire to reach the dream and knowing that we are going to do everything to reach it). But you can't find this feeling alone in your living room. You need to meet people that passed through that shift and that can inspire you to turn that switch ON. If things sticks in your head, you will never be able to keep running forward when some roadblocks will come through your way (friends that say NO, family that think your stupid, spouses that won't help you, etc...)

#5 ON THE MOVE WITH THE COMPANY: when you go to any big enough events of your company, you will learn new things on them. They will usually launch a new product that you will be the first of your entire team to taste or try, or they will launch a new part of their S.Y.S.T.E.M. (some new back office update, new flipcharts, new dvds, cds, magazines, brochures) and they will explain at this very moment how to use them. If you are at the convention, you will learn the real and perfect way to use them and you'll be able to buy some on place and return home with the hole info to transmit all your new knowledge to your team. So you'll move at the same pace as your company. We call this LEADERSHIP. You can't be a leader if you're always late on the news things that are coming out.

#6. PERSONNAL GROWTH: All the leaders will agree on this one: "You can't reach the top without working on yourself." Personal growth is essential even more, CRUCIAL to win in this game. We have some many barriers, closed gates and unknown fences in our mind that will play on our decision or feeling through that journey in relational marketing that if we're not playing with them, and try to learn more about ourselves, how we work inside of our own brain, in our own sub-consciousness, we will get stock on some, sometimes, stupid little things that will make us fail and worst, quit the industry. In those events, some of the speakers will be personal development coach that will give you more tricks and tips to destroy those fences/gates/barriers that we built in our younger days and free us of their impact in our actual life.

A LITTLE WARNING FOR NEWBIES

This warning is not just for the huge events, but also in those little local or regional meeting that you will go. There a feeling that most of us had to deal with and I just want to share it with you because "he" is a little rascals and "he" is extremely dangerous. In those meetings, event home meetings, you will see people that can talk easily to others, that seem to know every little thing about your company, that seems to know every good answer to any kind of questions or kill every objections, or others that can talk in front of a whole stadium. If you’re a new distributor or even an old one like me, there is a feeling that can jump aboard your train and he will sound like: "I will never be able to do that" and at this point, you will feel cheap, or like a loser, or a nobody.... This is not the case my friend, do NOT worry about it. It's a process and everything is teachable and you can learn to do the same even if you're the shiest person ever. We all went through this place that we feel weird and uncomfortable with a situation and that is absolutely normal... So please say to yourself: "No! Aren’t it, I'm not a loser, I'm just in need to learn that technic". That's it guyz, it's not more dangerous or complicated than that.

I really hope that you learned something new from this post and that this will help you to make the right decision about your next company's event. It's simple; from all the leaders you will hear the same too: "REAL leaders are going to the events!!!" And they run like hell bring the more people they possibly can cause a lot of your leaders are also born from those events. How many leaders would you want in your organisation? Well the more that will come with you, the more will pop-up as leaders!!!
