Less Is More…
Have you ever visited a website that was too overwhelming to even look at, let alone understand what the creator/marketer was trying to sell or ask you to do? Often times, when designing your website or capture page, “less really is more.” Don’t get so focused on crowding your website or capture page with unnecessary “widgets” and colors that do not add any real value to what you are trying to communicate. How you write your words is “what” is going to sell you and your product! Not all that extra “stuff.”
Also, once your visitors have landed on your site, make sure you clearly communicate what “ACTION” you want them to take. If you want to purchase a product, “tell them that.” If you want your visitors to sign-up for a free subscription to your newsletter, clearly tell them how to do that! Don’t assume they know which link to click on or which page to visit.
