Blog Spam
With much excitement found in the Social Networking arena comes a lot of people not thinking things through. Not really understanding what blogs, micro blogging and different social marketing applications are really for.
We all know about spammers and how no one likes them, but you must watch out that we don’t become one too! Owners of blogs want readers and they want comments, but they don’t want their blogs comments being used to other’s personal advertising. Now it’s all part of the game and we understand that. But we need to be smart about things. To avoid not getting your comments posted, don’t just throw up a comment like “get rich in a week, check out my site!” You may have a great site for people to see, but you are not impressing anyone with a comment like that. Whether you are posting in forums, blogs, or applications like Twitter, get involved in the topic at hand. Offer good content; show yourself to be a professional in your field, a leader, someone they will want to find out more about. You will have much better success getting traffic to your site that way. There is nothing worse than to find a comment that has no relevance to the post they are commenting on. You wouldn’t like it and neither does anyone else. So if you want to leave a comment on this blog or anyone else’s, don’t spam your links everywhere, get involved and show everyone you are worth getting to know.
