What Kind of Leads Do You Get?
Just wondering about the type of "paid for" leads others get in comparison to the ones I am getting. Is it the quality? What am I doing wrong?I don't understand why people say they want financial freedom, become own boss, have more time with family, better quality of life - they want $5000 to $10,000 a month, and have all of $250 to maybe $1000 to invest, and can't even have the courtesy to reply to an e-mail. Case in point: Recently I requested Real Time Leads of only 5 a day so I could have time to contact in a timely manner. These are a few of the results from calling: an answering machine with loud music and static, no way to leave a message; someone picks up the phone and puts it back down; number no longer available (25 min. after the person had given it and I received it); the lady who answered one call said no one by that name at that number. The next question is when I send an email to give them the information they want, but ask them to reply to the e-mail or call me, no one can click on "reply" and give a time of day that would be convenient to call. Thus I come to the conclusion: would I really want to work with any of these people, and why spend my budgeted money. Mike's new "Building on a Budget" video #2, and my above results certainly substantiate each other.

Hi Jeanette,
You certainly aren't doing anything wrong in my opinion. It's one reason now why I don't buy leads anymore, and discourage anyone on my team from doing so, because you have to work through a lot of names to even get one person willing to listen. It's way too costly and time consuming. Meanwhile, the lead companies are making a fortune off people like us, who ARE serious and believe we can actually build a business this way.
I did sign up a few paid leads, but when I consider the time and money involved I would never do it again. What is happening to you with leads is very typical for most people. And I don't think its got anything to do with the cost of a lead. A $1 lead is no better or worse than a $5 one.
