When Nothing Seems to Be Working....
There comes a time for every Network Marketer when nothing seems to be working the way you thought it would. Sometimes this hits in the very beginning and causes one to think they just arent' cut out for this Industry.
And sometimes it happens after we've found success, but somewhere along the line things seemed to have slowed down or even stopped. The leads dry up, the sales stop, and no one is joining your team.
When this happens, it's important not to panic.
Take time to get by yourself and do some serious thinking about your business... and yourself.
Here's some things you will want to consider:
1. Is your belief strong in all areas -- your company, your product, and most importantly yourself? Do you believe that you can help people change their lives for the better?
If not, stop here and do some work on yourself first.
2. Do you have a well established Marketing Message? Is your message ingrained in your brain so you can say it in your sleep? Is your message congruent with what your prospects want?
Don't fall into the trap of trying to give your prospects what you think they need. Give them what they want.
3. Are you making it all too complicated? One of my mentors, Diane Hochman preaches this: Keep is Simple!
You only need to be doing 4 things to be successful: Collect, Capture, Communicate and Close.
Collect people by attracting them and being open to meeting new people; not trying to sell them. Capture their information so you can Communicate with them. And finally, Close them when they are ready to take out their wallets and buy.
It's no more complicated than this, yet we all get hung up on the minutia of other stuff.
WARNING: While it's fine to take a brief break and reassess things, don't stop meeting new people while you're doing it. Collecting people to take them into your world should be #1 on your daily "To Do" list.
