Who Wouldn't Want THIS Target Market?
If you've been in this industry for any amount of time, you're probably sick of hearing about your Target Market. It's gotten a lot of attention for sure, but with good reason.
When I first started out in MLM about 4 years ago, I was told what everyone else was told: go out there and talk to as many people as you can in hopes of finding a handful who are interested in your offer.
I don't know, maybe this is good advice for some people. But, first of all I found it hard to find the time to talk to that many people, working 50-60 hrs/wk. But I gave it a shot and had not much to show for my efforts except a bruised ego and much lower self esteem than when I started.
Can you relate to that?
Then I got introduced to the concept of a Target Market and I knew this was something I could use. After all, if I could identify who would be interested in my offer and weed out the rest before approaching them, I could use my limited time much more wisely.
This got me to thinking... What would be the Ultimate Target Market?
What criteria would these people have to meet to be so ultra-targeted that they'd actually wish for me to talk to them?
Here is my list of qualities for the ultimate target market... maybe you can add to it.
The Ultimate Great Target Market:
1. Has specialized interests and needs.
2. Has a strong desire for what you offer.
3. Can be easily found and reached.
4. Is a large enough group and growing!
5. You are (or used to be) part of this group.
6. Can afford your products and services.
7. You enjoy working with people in this target market.
Wouldn't it be great to have these people to speak with all day long?
You can identify them and learn where to find them if you know what you're doing. I wanted to be sure that I got this right, so I found my expert mentor, Cindy Schulson and went to work.
