Upside down at the Cotton Patch Cafe
It was so fun!
Several years ago... I made a cold call to a chiropractic clinic to see whether they offed a product that I had the newest version of at a better price. That call resulted in a close friendship with the chiropractors now ex wife. Since then, my friend and I have embarked on several NWM adventures, together and apart, until I helped her get a position at my old job as a Yellow Page Advertising sales rep with Yellow Book.
Fast forward... we planned a long overdue lunch date after she completed the new year's advertising contract with me for the print shop where I now work full time.
On Thursday before our Friday lunch, she called to say that her office had planned a Birthday lunch for one of the reps who had been there when I was still there.
When I arrived and greeted several old friends, including the Sales Manager, I took the seat saved for me in the middle of the table of 12.
Someone asked what was I doing now, and I had come prepared! I pulled out the little jelly jar glass I had put in my purse, pulled out the bottle of Form and proceeded to empty the contents of the capsule into the water I had asked for.
As I explained what I am doing - why I have all of a sudden changed my focus and company, the gel begins to expand. By the time I look back at the glass, the process is complete and I turn the glass upside down, just like on the video.
Of course the main point of the show was taking advantage of an opportunity - having the nerve to do what I realized could be done and not talking myself out of it for propriety's sake.
It energized me in a way that I haven't been in a while, and that is an important ingredient to success.
I didn't mean to leave the evidence behind - I am sure there were some interesting conversations by those who bussed that table!
