How To Write Forever #1

Read More: Discipline  |  Personal Development

You hear people talk about "writer's block" ... when a writer hits a point they just don't have anything more to say, can't figure out where to go next. Amazingly, a lot of people who don't write think they have writer's block.

Bunch of hooey. No such thing. They just need tools.

Here's a gem:

Google Keyword External

And here's a pretty simple tutorial on how you can use it:

Short Tutorial

Now ... this tutorial talks about using these keywords for Google Adsense. That's not what you're doing here. You are just compiling a list of keywords to use as memory joggers while you write. You should come away with hundreds or thousands of keywords & keyword phrases.

You can use this technique all by itself. Just make a list of keywords. Choose two of them. Talk about how they relate to each other in your experience. Choose a 3rd keyword. How does it relate to the first two?

You can write forever like this, because you'll have an infinite combination of keywords, and each combination should pull in one or more comments on your own experience. If one keyword combination doesn't bring up an idea, just go on to the next.

Try it. You can write forever.

Teaching People to "Let Go" & Create

I love to see people teaching writing... because it's really teaching people strategies that will open up their creativity in other ways as well.  We did a Writing course called Writing with Pull that went deep into how to walk through a step by step formula that people plug into to literally create content for their blogs, social sites, etc... while having it 'talk' to their target audience so it attracts the right people.

We've noticed that people who freeze up when they get down to writing are really just over thinking the entire process.  They try to create a master piece with the first pen stroke (or key pad)... which is impossible.  So of course, what do poeple end up doing when they face the impossible?  They quit.

Formulas (that break writing and the creative process down into bite sized steps) like what you're presenting here help people break through the wall of 'over thinking' and create a new habit of letting go and just letting it out, one little step at a time.

Great stuff!
